20 North And West Colleges In India To Remain Shut

Truely, a few Pharmacy, Management and Engineering colleges in India are currently facing the economic crunch and are seeking permission of AICTE- All India Council for Technical Education has revealed that almost 20 colleges in Northwestern parts of India are seeking approvals for closing down.

These colleges are located in the states of Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal and Jammu & Kashmir. The education experts point at 2 major reasons for this, firstly Management colleges are currently mushrooming at an extremely high rate and quality faculty is not available at the same rate, Secondly several colleges presently lack industry networks, as they are unable to place their students.

Based on the sources from AICTE, the council will first scrutinize their applications to see if there is any discrepancy before approving their decision to close down. Out of these 20 colleges seeking permission to close down, 6 colleges are from Punjab and Haryana.
