Banaras University Offers Refresher Course-2012

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) which is a central university located in Varanasi. Established in 1916, at present known as the largest residential university in Asia. The BHU has brought up a new refresher course on Physical sciences, which is scheduled as a 21 day course at UGC Academic Staff College of BHU on Tuesday.

Already a collection of students are being registered for this course. Around 25 candidates from different colleges and universities of the country participated in it. Also, an other refresher course on 'Human Rights and Value education' is yet to be inaugurated.

The previous programme conducted in Mirzapur was based on Mountaineering which was a two day primary training programme organized by Mountaineering Centre of BHU, came to end on Tuesday. It included almost a count of 70 participants including 8 women participants in it.

This is an Interaction Program where students at Ph.D/ Post-doctoral levels from Centre of Advanced Studies/ Dept of Special Assistance (CAS/DSA) may take part in the special interaction programs to be organized by BHU-ASA under the RC's scheme. These programs will be conducted in the form of workshops/ seminars only.

Please Note : Duration of the program is 3 weeks, with the main focus of interaction between Ph.D post-doctoral scholars and teachers. Participation of students shall be treated at par with the participants in refresher courses in respect of payment of TA/DA.
