5 Year Integrated M.Tech Course Launched By IIIT-B

The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) a deemed university, will start a new five-year integrated M.Tech programme in Information Technology (IT). It was announced at a press meet conference on Monday. A professor Mr.Rajagopalan of IIT-B said “The institute has been receiving rewuests from industry, government and public to utilize its expertise to provide quality education to students. Acceding to the requests, we have decided to start the five-year integrated M.Tech course”.

It is a full time dual degree programme for students who have senior secondary school (Plus 2) or equivalent qualification. At the end of five years, students will get both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in IT. Admissions for this programme is based on the rank obtained in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2012.

• Number of Students : The number of students admitted is 60.
• Age Limit : Candidates must must not have attained 22 years as on august 2012.
• Fee for the course : Rs. 75,000 per semester
• Hostel fee : Rs.36,000
• Boarding fee : 3,000
