A New Construction Academy To Open In March

A New Construction Academy To Start Up
The Delhi Government had decided to start up a constructing academy in order to promote Civil Engineering. The decision has been led by the fact that Delhi is located in the fourth seismic zone. Labour and Industries Minister, Ramakant Goswami, on Friday made this announcement during his visit to the labour Welfare Centre at Giri Nagar in Kalkaji, where the academy would come up in March,2012. He said that the institute would facilitate quality construction activities in Delhi to ensure structural stability and minimize building collapse.

It will also ensure that constructions were approved and done according to the building by laws. Goswami further said that the primary infrastructure required for the development of the academy was already there.

This academy will provide skill development lessons to around 2,000 workers every year. It will be a residential academy with boarding and lodging facilities. The training course will be held for varying duration which could be 15 days to two months.
