DU Expecting Semester Results At End Of December

The semester exams of all first year course in Delhi University have come to an end, and now has entered the evaluation process. It is expecting the results to be announced soon . The University of Delhi is expecting that the results will be announced by the end of December. This was the first year when all the first year courses are shifted to Semester system. It is left with a very short time in order to bring out the results before the beginning of the next semester.

Evaluation procedure is not a very simple task, but a huge one. With around 4000 teachers and 4 lakh answer sheets DU officially says that they have to work overtime and stick to a tight schedule for bringing out results on time. A senior official informed that the centralized evaluation of answer sheets has already started with top management activity supervising it.

He also said that their evaluation centres are working even on Sunday’s, ensuring that papers are checked within stipulated time being. Late declarations of results by DU was the main reason for some teachers opposing to semester system. Hence it is always a challenge for DU to deliver its results on time, twice a year.

Semester exams for the first phase is now over, but still its time for the officials to keep their fingers crossed to over come the evaluation procedure of the upcoming second phase.
