Karnataka High Court Issued Stay Order To MCI

MCI Received Stay Order From High Court
On Monday, the MCI (Medical Council Of India) received a stay order which was passed from Karnataka High Court, regarding for conducting National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on May 13, 2012 for admission in UG and PG programs in both Private and Government Medical Colleges across India.

The order was passed only after receiving the petitions which was filed by the Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minorities Professional College Association and Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association. The decision of High Court has not only put the coaching centers throughout the state on disconcert, but it has also led to a precarious situation, as most centers in the state have commenced their integral training sessions on Common Entrance Test (CET).

Based on the current measure undertaken by the Karnataka High Court, the centers have to schedule extra training sessions for NEET, because syllabus of 2 years for NEET have to be completed in 2 months. Most of the coaching centers are concentrating on preparation for AFMC, AIPMT and CET are now finding it hard to prepare students for NEET as well.

It is said that, after all now the exam will be conducted at the national level so the level of preparation has to be up to the mark.
