The main objectives to start this program are :
- The collaboration to start the vocational course in multiple disciplines.
- To provide learning and earning opportunities to jobless youth.
As per the research, it is said that the incremental of human resource requirement by the year 2022 in India will raise to approximate of 35 million in the Auto and Auto Components Industry. It is a fact that the demand for this industry will manifold in the years to come. Most of the IITs and other vocational institutes train candidates only for the Blue Collar jobs. This ensures that there is a huge shortage of skilled youth manpower in our country.
The growth in this field is being quite increasing since last year. The turnover of the auto component industry as per ACMA's (Auto Component Manufacturing Industry) performance review for fiscal 2010-11 stood at Rs.182,127 crores (USD 39.9 billion). For the period of April 2010 to March 2011, the growth was registered for about 34 percent in rupee terms.
About The Course : The Program is an 18 month certificate in Automotive Mechanic Course of Classroom/ workshop and industrial training which imparts skills leading the students to be a 'Supervisor' in the Auto and auto Components Industry. RAGC together with its partners- Navnit Motors and Sai Service will impart training and 100% placements for around 200 candidates every year. They provide Industry experts and learning aides for the training candidates.
Eligibility : RAGC and Don Bosco are providing this opportunity to candidates, those who have passed their Secondary School examinations.
Course Language : Teachings for this course will be imparted in Hindi, English and Marathi.
Future Thoughts : RAGC and Don Bosco will soon launch certification programmes in areas such as Building and Construction, Sanitation and Plumbing, Infrastructure and facility Management, Manufacturing Automation, Hospitality services and Others. All these are based on the arising needs of the present and further coming years.
