TCS Picks Up 300 Students From HCST Agra Campus

300 Students Of HCST Hired By TCS
The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) which was established way back in 1968, is a pioneer, taking a lead role in establishing the Indian IT industry. It is now one of the largest private sector employers in India with employee strength of over 2,00,000 having more than 142 branches in over 47 countries. TCS has a very good HR policy, because of which its employee sticks to it- it has one of the lowest attrition rates in the IT industry.

TCS recently has selected more than 300 students during a 3-day campus placement process conducted at Hindustan College of Science and Technology (HCST), Agra. In total 6 colleges had participated in the campus recruitment drive of TCS. In all, 307 students were extended offer letters by TCS. Students from Sharada Group extended 250 offer letters whereas 57 ofer letters were extended to students from BIET, Jhansi and Dayalbagh University. Nearly, all students have been extended a package of Rs.3.20 lakhs per annum from TCS.

TCS had announced its recruitment plans for the session 2011-12 and this has surely light up youngsters day. Its plan was to go for a massive recruitment of 60,000 heads in the FY 2011-12, out of which it succeeded to recruit about 20,000 in the quarter (July -September). In comparision to the 88 students selected last year, the number of students hired this year exhibits a significant improvement in the academic standards of these educational institutes.
