Australia Cancels 15,066 Visas Of Indian Students

Indian Students Visas Cancelled
The Immigration Department has already cancelled 15,066 visas of Foreign students in the past years. The report says that the Indian students have been hit very hard whereas Chinese students fared better as they were less likely to be studying for trade. In some cases, foreigners were not genuine students and use the work rights of a student visa as a back door to higher wages and working conditions in Australia. The department's annual report says that 8,309 student visas holders became "Unlawful" in the last year as their student visa expired and they had not applied for a new one.

It has also been found that some women had come to Australia on Student visas to work in illegal acts. The report said that one in every five international students is Chinese whereas one in every six is Indian. The majority of International students were placed in New South Wales and Victoria. With a very strict rules followed in case to provide visa to a student it is found that about 3,624 students are facing deportation for flunking subjects or missing classes and around 2,235 visas were cancelled on students who quit their original courses and were either working illegally.

 

In mind with all the above acts, it is made sure that, to receive a Visa a student must be enrolled in a course and show they can pay the tuition and living costs and undergo health and English language tests. Also Immigration Department offers eight kinds of student visas including the vocational Training, University, English Language Courses or school Education visas.
