The fact is that Indian Colleges do not fit into most of the parameters set up by International Standards. One of the major problems with Indian institutes is that because of their stringent system most of the administrative powers and rights of a college lies under the Government leaving the college authorities with very little autonomous powers.
On the discussion with the Delhi Government which was held on Thursday, the Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit said that based on the Institute of Technical Education Studies here, Singapore has come forward to put its interests in an agreement on setting-up an Institute for International Standard Skill Development .
