IGNOU To Offer Certificate Program For Teachers

Indira Gandhi National Open University's School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS) is offering a walk-in admissions for a Certificate Program in Value Education(CPVE) that is being offered from the month of January 2012. This program is offered as a Distance mode Session .
CPVE has been decided to infuse the importance of Value Education in the teaching-learning process among teachers, graduates, NGO's and professionals from the corporate and other parts of Civil Society. Dr.Silima Nanda, the Deputy Director of IGNOU and Program Coordinator for this program said that this program has an activity component which has to be completed before the Term and Exams.

Mainly, the target for this program is the teachers for integrating values in their transactional process of teaching and learning. She also said that-It can also be offered to NGO's, Government servants, students, professionals and other workers of the civil society organization . The CPVE can be for anyone who has class XII as basic qualification. The minimum time period for this program is 6 months and maximum time is of 2 years.

The program consists of four sectors such as Overview and Perspectives of Values, Social Dynamisc and Value Development, Pedagogy of Values and Applications and Support Skills.
