Comedk counselling begins from 15 July'11

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental (Comedk) counselling is scheduled to begin from 15 July, 2011. The first round of Medical and Dental counselling will be on 15 and 16 July, 2011. Medical students with rank up to 1500 can choose seats on the first day.

The counselling is divided into six sessions, with the first one beginning at 8 am everyday at NMKRV College, 3rd Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore.

The number of medical seats have increased and has been approved by Medical Council of India (MCI). About 700 medical seats have been added to 12 medical colleges. These seats will be offered during the second round of counselling.

The students have to report to the college of their choice on or before 23 August 2011. Medical colleges under Comedk will charge Rs 3.25 lakh as annual tuition fee. The Comedk engineering counselling is scheduled between 26 July and 12 August 2011. The tuition fee for engineering would be Rs 50,000 excluding other charges.

The seat matrix information will be announced shortly after the agreement with Government of Karnataka for engineering admissions. The first round of Counselling for architecture will begin on 12 August, 2011.

The students who make their choice in the first round of counselling would be notified to report to their respective colleges by 30 August, 2011.
