Australia offers scholarships
Australia is leaving no stone unturned to woo the Indian students. After racist attacks made on Indian Students, the country has seen a sharp fall in students pursuing their higher education in Australia. Recently, it has been declared that 10 scholars from India will be awarded 90,000 Australian dollars (about $94,400) each to pursue their Ph.Ds from varsities in Australia's Victoria state starting 2012.

The new Victoria-India Doctoral Scholarships Programme by Australia indicates clearly that Australia is trying to attract Indian students for study abroad programmes. And these strategies are implemented to win the trust of the Indian students.

The nine universities in Australia have agreed to provide a full tuition waiver to Indian students, and the scholarships will support living costs and education-related travel. This generous scholarship might be a great opportunity for some of India's smartest researchers at Victoria's universities.

The elaborate scholarships will help in building a closer partnership between India and Australia in various aspects.

The universities are Deakin University, La Trobe University, Monash University, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Australian Catholic University, The University of Melbourne, University of Ballarat and Victoria University.
