Online adm's for Mumbai Colleges from next year

Mumbai Degree college admissions may go online from next year.The University of Mumbai has asked all its affiliated colleges to maintain a website , so that from 2012-13 online admissions could be implemented.

It is felt that students are more compatible with online system of filling forms and can easily fill online forms, hence this system can be introduced for degree college admissions as well.

Over 500 colleges are affiliated with the varsity and every year, 6 lakh students take admission into various courses, apart from traditional steams like Commerce, Science and Arts.
It may not be possible for the university to do this because there are more than 200 courses.But, many colleges already have their own websites. Therefore, this idea can work and might be helpful for many students.
