It has been quite evident that Bihar's Super 30, the coaching centre that helps poor and meritorious students to get into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is all set to expand this year.
The coaching centre will be admitting 60 students from this year, which is almost double than previous year. Apart from Bihar, the centre will admit meritorious students from states like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The admission tests will be organised in the major cities of both the states on 2 July 2011. The tests will be conducted at Varanasi, Kanpur and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier, Super 30 had admitted 6 students from Uttar Pradesh out of which 3 had finally made it to the IITs. The mentor of Super 30 Anand Kumar also have plans to open a 'model school' in his native state of Bihar to train poor students for national and international competitions right from the grass root level.
