Hostel fees soared high at DU Colleges
With steep cut-offs Delhi University (DU) has left lot of DU aspirants disheartened. Along with that came a news regarding the increased hostel fees in most of the colleges. DU students have been protesting against the soaring cut-offs, and now one more reason has cropped up. The protest was organized by the NSUI from Arts Faculty to Kranti Chowk and Vice-Chancellor office in North Campus.

Initially the hostel fee was Rs.30, 000 but now it got increased to Rs. 60, 000 yearly and simultaneously in other colleges like Kirori Mal, Hansraj and Daulat Ram, the hostel fees has been increased.

Meanwhile, the students have to pay 6 months fees at one go, which has been a shocker for many students. Earlier it was just for 2 months. Many students encircled the Kranti Chowk and raised slogans against the vice chancellor and DU administration.
