Students are hopeful on 2nd Cutoff list
The students in Delhi have been protesting for the high cut offs set by Delhi University in its first list. The first list has been disappointing for many students, even for those who have secured 90 per cent or so. The parents are really worried about the extremely high cutoffs set by the University.

However,Delhi University is all set to release a second cut off list tomorrow ( 21 June 2011). Several students and parents are hopeful that the cut offs will drop and the students would be able to get admission in one of the colleges. Some drop in cutoffs is expected specially by the general category students, who cannot afford to have special reservation like SC/ST/ OBC candidates.

Many students are also looking at not so popular Colleges to come up with admission solution. Majority of colleges, including Hans Raj, Kirori Mal, Hindu, Lady Shri Ram, Venkateswara, SGTB Khalsa, Gargi and Kamala Nehru have confirmed that they would definitely bring out a 2nd cutoff list for most of the courses.

It is expected that at Kamala Nehru College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, the cutoffs for English (H) could drop by 2-4%. At Hans Raj, cutoffs for science courses may drop 1-2%, while BCom(H) would see a marginal fall in the cut off. However, the 2nd cutoffs at the off campus colleges may drop by 5 per cent in many courses.
