St.Stephens to announce first cut off by 16 June

St. Stephen's College, Delhi has finished its first phase of admissions. The last day to submit the application is over now. The college will be screening the forms and the list of candidates who will be chosen for the interview round will be declared on 16 June 2011.

As per reports, this year St. Stephen's College, have received almost 21000 applications, that have been submitted for all the courses, including the forms sold across the counter and downloaded forms from website.

The college currently offers 10 courses across various disciplines such as English, economics, physics, chemistry, mathematics, history etc. There has been only a marginal drop in the number of forms which were sold and received this year at the prestigious college.The college received 1200 forms on Monday which was the last day for submission.

As soon as the College authorities will start segregating the forms, it would be easier to determine the cutoff percentage on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates.
Thereafter, the list of candidates who will be selected for interviews will be declared on the college website.

The forms will be screened on the basis of the marks scored by candidates in their class 12 examinations as well as the statement of purpose that every candidate had to submit along with the form. However, the cutoffs have always been higher than previous year, which is why many forms will see rejection.
