The Karnataka pre-university education (PUE) department wants to sign up a pact with the two major board of education, i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). This is to make sure that the schedule and results of CET 2012 won’t get delayed which gets affected every year by the delayed announcement of the results of the Class XII by other boards like CBSE and CISCE.
Every year, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is forced to wait for the announcement of the CBSE results, which usually come out well after the II PU results.KEA authorities receive 100 per cent data from the PU department on time but faces problem from other boards. KEA authorities claim that this year, they have managed to announce CET results on time, but coming year they may not.
To calculate the CET scores,it is essential to know the marks secured by candidates in Class XII examinations of other boards. KEA waits for other board results to know their rankings.
