Samsung scholarship for IIM-A students

Some new candidates from first year batch of the management course at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), would be able to enjoy a scholarship soon, which has been recently introduced by Digital Technology giant Samsung.

Samsung India Electronics have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) to roll out this scholarship.

Under the programme, 5 meritorious students will be selected for the scholarship which will fund the second year of their course. Apart from this, the selected candidates will get an opportunity to interact with the company's senior authorities to develop a better understanding and knowledge sharing.

The MoU was signed by J.S. Shin, chief executive officer and president of Samsung, south-west Asia, and Samir Barua, director of IIM-A at the institute's campus.

Barua hoped that such partnerships will contribute towards efforts to engage meaningfully with the industry and enhance opportunities for students to connect with the real world.
