EAMCET 2011 was difficult like IIT-JEE

Many engineering candidates were eagerly awaiting to appear EAMCET 2011. The Engineering entrance exam was held yesterday ( 22 May 2011). As per reports, the exam went very much like that of IIT-JEE.

With series of tricky questions, that requires lot of detail study of that particular subject has left many students worried. Most of the questions were numeric. Theory-based questions were missing. In Andhra Pradesh, EAMCET is one of the biggest entrance exam and about 2,70,022 students wrote the exam for engineering while 65,315 wrote the exam for grabing a medical seat.

It is believed that those candidates will do well in EAMCET 2011 who had prepared for IIT-JEE. The engineering paper was a challenging one. Among Physics , Chemistry , Mathematics - Physics was the tougher. Unlike previous years, it will be very difficult even for top candidates to score 100 per cent marks.

While Medical paper was very similar to previous years question paper. Only difference noted is that the paper was very lenghty. Botany was quite lengthy. According to reports ,there were some questions in medical which were confusing. The answers of some questions were not available in the options given. However, the exam authorities have mention that the question papers were error free.

According to M V Ramana Rao, convener, EAMCET-2011, "Question paper key for the examination will be released on 25 May and Eamcet results will be announced before 10 June 2011. The rankings for EAMCET will be officially available by 2 July 2011.
