Analysis of Andhra SSC results 2011

The results of Andhra Pradesh Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class X public examination has been announced on Saturday 21 May 2011 at 11.30 am. Nearly 13 lakh candidates appeared for the exams held in March.The SSC results of Andhra Pradesh was released by school education minister Parthasarathy. Like other exam results, here also girls have outperformed the boys. As per the reports, 82.1 per cent boys have passed the exam while 83.5 per cent girls have passed the SSC.

 

The over all pass percentage is 83.1 and the pass percentage has increased by 1.41 per cent in comparison to last year. 444 Zila Parishad high Schools and 88 govt schools got 100 percent results.Karimanagar district has topped by scoring 91.57 pass percentage. While the reported pass percentage in Hyderabad is 72.76 per cent, which is quite disappointing. Bhashyam and Jeshava Reddy memorial schools students mange to secure top ranks.

While grading system introduced in CBSE board is being implemented,similar grading system has been introduced for Andhra SSC. The students who have scored more than 509 marks will be declared as passed in A1 grade. The grades range vary from A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2. However, the compartmental exams will be held from 18 June 2011 for failed candidates.
