JIPMER medical entrance on 5 June 2011

Applications are invited for admission to MBBS course at Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry for the year 2011 through entrance examination.

Eligibility:
The applicant must be a resident Indian national; should have completed his/her higher/senior secondary examination (10+2) with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and a pass in English for UR and 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.

How to apply:
Application-cum-prospectus for MBBS course 2011 session can be obtained from the counter of state bank of India (SBI), JIPMER campus from 09th March, 2011 to 25th April, 2011 (4.00 p.m.) Or Send a postal request to Professor, Academic, JIPMER from 06th March, 2011 to 18th April, 2011 accompanied by a demand draft for Rs 1000 drawn in the name of accounts officer, JIPMER payable at Pondicherry.

Mode of Entrance examination:
JIPMER uses paper-based test administration (MCQ) for merit listing the candidates for the above admissions.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications: 25th April, 2011, 4.30 p.m.

Entrance examination: 05th June, 2011, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Counseling: 13th July, 2011

Commencement of course: 22nd July, 2011

Test Centres:
Candidate has to appear for entrance examination to be conducted by JIPMER in 12 centres around the country on 05th June, 2011, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
