Jamia introduced 3 new post graduate courses

With the sale of forms that began last friday at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) for admissions into both Bachelor's and Master's level courses have crossed 7000. The forms can be obtained from the counters of Maktaba Jamia Limited located on the campus on all working days.The forms and prospectus are also available for download on the official website.

Also, the University recently has introduced three new postgraduate courses namely, M.Tech in Earthquake Engineering, Master's in Architecture and MA in Early Childhood Development.The university is also offering a diploma in Catalan language. Last year, the university had started a certificate course in the European language but now there was a diploma course too.

The admission to all courses at the university is through entrance tests. The number of entrance tests was decreased this year significantly by introducing common entrance tests to make the process convenient for students.The BA programme that had been discontinued last year has also been re-introduced at the varsity this year. The curriculum for the programme has been restructured and the number of seats has also been brought down from 190 in 2009 to 50 from the upcoming academic session.
