AIEEE scheduled on 1st May 2011

Tests and examinations are some of the most well defined formats that are assigned especially to count the potential of an individual no matter in what point of time for proving his or her credentials.All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE) is one of the most coveted entrance examinations for engineering aspirants.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that on 1 May, 2011 the pen and paper exam of All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE) - 2011 will be conducted.The test is conducted by the CBSE for ad mission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in National Institute of Technologies (NITs), the Indian Institutes of Information Technologies (IIITs), centrally funded institutions, deemed universities and institutions in states and union territories, excluding the ones covered by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE-2011 is that the candidate must have passed the final examination of Class XII or its equivalent qualifying examination with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates.Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1986 are eligible. The online exams of AIEEE will be held for the first time for one lakh students from May 1st-15th, 2011. Students from 20 cities will be giving the online exams, with a maximum of 5,000 per city on first-come-first-served basis.
