200 VHSE students attend interview

Kochi: Nearly 200 vocational higher secondary education (VHSE) students from Ernakulam and Kottayam attended a centralized walk-in interview for one-year apprenticeship in Kochi on Wednesday.

The interview was organized by the board of apprenticeship training (southern region) and the directorate of VHSE, Kerala.

"This is an opportunity for students to learn from reputed firms for one year. This will be a good experience for them," said VHSE regional assistant director Liji Joseph.

Many organizations, including the State Bank of Travancore (SBT), Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDC), Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT), Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (KSEDC), Cochin Shipyard, agriculture department, Hindustan Machine Tools Ltd (HMT, livestock department and Kerala Agro Industries, attended the event to recruit students.
