17-year-old Mumbai student wins Rs 2 crore scholarship

Mumbai, May 18: Bhavi Jagatia, a student of Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu has won Rs 2 crore scholarship. Bhavi, 17-year-old student was preparing for her board exams when received the news of winning Rs 2 crore scholarship.

Expressing happiness over the news Bhavi said "I got to know about the Tata scholarship a day before my mathematics board exam and I was so excited."

Bhavi, who wish to become an astronaut said that the scholarship would help her to pursue her dream. She has also planned to join aerospace engineering degree tuition at Cornell University and the scholarship will also fund her stay in New York, USA.

Bhavi's father, Ashok Jagatia, who was proud of her daughter's achievement said, "Don't force your dreams on your children."

While her mother said, "I just want to make sure my daughter is having proper food and sleep. The rest of the things, she can take care of by herself."

Before Bhavi leaves for US, Bhavi wants to explore the city where her dreams have come true. She wants to roam with her friends. She also wish to get a call from her dream boy, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor.
