17 PSUs offer jobs to GATE 2014 qualified candidates
With the results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2014, the national level examination that tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and postgraduate level subjects in Science released, the stage is set for jobs in some of the reputed Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
GATE is used by several undertakings as a screening test for employment. This year, 17 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have signed MoUs with IIT Kharagpur to receive the GATE 2014 results across various papers.
The Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) that have already signed MoUs with GATE for using GATE 2014 score as screening tool for recruiting engineers at entry level positions include;
- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd
- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd
- Indian Oil Corporation Ltd
- National Fertilizers Ltd
- Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd
- National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Ltd
- NTPC Ltd
- Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd
- Vizag Steel Plantn
- GAIL (INDIA) Limited
- Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd
- Mazagon Dock Limited
- National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO)
- RITES Limited
- National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC)
- RailTel Corporation of India Ltd
- Telecommunications Consultants India Limited
Many other PSUs are also processing the MoU for using GATE scores as the screening test.
