The first wave of threats targeted seven schools in Basaveshwar Nagar, including Napel and Vidyashilpa. "I was watching TV when the school across the street received a threat email." "I came here to double-check," DK Shivakumar said to reporters.

15 Schools in Bengaluru Received Bomb Threat Email

Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said that, "At present, we have received information about 15 schools where threatening e-mails have been received, last year also such threats were received. We cannot take any risk, we are inspecting the schools and are taking all precautionary measures in schools. We will take strict action against those who are making threatening calls. We are looking into all aspects."

This unusual and terrifying incident led to a sudden disruption of normalcy within these educational institutions, prompting immediate evacuation of students and staff members. The authorities were alerted and swift action was taken to ensure the safety of all individuals present within the premises of the affected schools.

As soon as the schools received the bomb threats, they followed the prescribed protocol and contacted the concerned authorities. The Bengaluru police were swift in their response and immediately took over the situation. They ensured the safe evacuation of the schools and began a thorough investigation to validate the threats. As a precautionary measure, bomb disposal squads were also called in to conduct a comprehensive search of the premises.

"The email claimed that explosives had been planted on school grounds. We received a call from the command centre and promptly dispatched teams to schools located throughout the city. All children and staff have been safely evacuated from the school grounds, and a thorough search is underway. So far, nothing unusual has been discovered, and it appears to be a hoax message. Parents should not be concerned; our teams are on the ground." a senior police official told the reporters.

Last year, several schools in the tech hub received similar hoax calls and messages, with the city's National Public School getting a bomb threat in January of this year. additional investigation is underway, and additional information is awaited.
