The error correction process for the CAT 2016 application forms will end tomorrow October 5, 2016. CAT 2016 is scheduled to be held on December 4, 2016. CAT is held for selection of candidates for admissions into Indian Institutes of Management and other premier B-schools of the country.
The errors that can be edited in the application forms are:
- Percentage of marks scored
- Work experience
- Programmes selected

The errors on the application forms that can not be edited are:
- Details entered in the 'Personal' section
- 'Academics' section
- Exam centre city preference
- Date of birth
- Contact details
The online registration for CAT 2016 came to an end on September 27, 2016.The number of applications received is a seven-year high with 2,32,434 applications. This year the number of registrations is the highest after 2009 when it was 2.4 lakh. Last year there were 2,18,664 registrations for the test.
CAT 2016 is being organised by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. CAT is conducted for admissions into IIMs and other premier B-schools across the country.
