1.83 lakh candidates appear for UPSEE 2014

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) had conducted the Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Examination 2014 on 20th April.

A total of 1.83 lakh candidates had written the UPSEE 2014 exam at different centres across 24 cities in UP.

Prof. D. S. Yadav, Pro-Vice Chancellor, UPTU said, "UPSEE 2014 was conducted at different centres with no glitch reported from any of the centres so far."

He said that about 1.46 lakh engineering seats including around 4,000 government college seats are available at different technical institutes across Uttar Pradesh.

According to the students, the engineering entrance exam paper was moderate but questions were a bit lengthy.

Agarwal said, "Physics part was the toughest and Chemistry part was easy. Overall, the paper was moderately difficult".

Nisha Ahmed said, "The overall difficulty level of the paper was average. Physics was toughest for me and the Maths paper was relatively easy."

UPSEE 2014 is the qualifying entrance examination which is conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes in government and government aided and private unaided institutions affiliated to UPTU of Uttar Pradesh.

UPSEE 2014 results will be published on 20th May 2014.
