The 68th National Film Awards winners list has been released on July 22, 2022. The renowned National Film Awards were launched in 1954 and are organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals of the Indian government. Notably, the 68th National Film Awards event acknowledged films from 2020 in numerous categories due to COVID-19-related concerns.

Winners of 2020 were announced in a number of categories, including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress in the 68th National Film Awards. The success of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' and P. Virumaandi's debut feature film 'Ka Pae Ranasingham' in 2020 further brought attention to regional content.

A 10-member panel for the 68th National Film Awards met with Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur earlier today and presented their results. The jury was chaired by filmmaker Vipul Shah.
