Neal Mohan, the newly appointed CEO of YouTube is an Indian-American Business Executive, who will follow Susan Wojcicki as YouTube's fourth and current CEO on February 16, 2023. He hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
In addition to Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, and Sundar Pichai of Alphabet, Mohan will join a growing list of CEOs of Indian ancestry heading up US-based global firms.

After graduating, he went to work for Accenture, which was then controlled by Arthur Andersen. In 1997, he joined the startup Net Gravity company, where he played a critical managerial role and considerably increased the company's visibility.
Electrical Engineer Mohan, a Stanford Graduate, joined Google in 2007 after DoubleClick was purchased. Since being named Chief Product Officer in 2015, he has been striving to create YouTube Shorts and Music ever since.
When Neal Mohan joined Google in 2007, his role there grew, and he is now the SVP of Display and Video Advertising. Since assuming the role of chief product officer in 2015, he has built a top-notch product and UX team and played a key role in the introduction of some of the company's biggest products, including YouTube TV, YouTube Music and Premium, and Shorts. He was also in charge of the Trust and Safety team.

Neal Mohan previously worked for Microsoft and sits on the boards of 23andMe and Stitch Fix. Mohan earned both an MBA and a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California
What Susan Wojcicki had to pen down on stepping down from the designation of CEO of YouTube:
In an aide-memoir, Susan Wojcicki said:
"Today, after nearly 25 years here, I've decided to step back from my role as the head of YouTube (since 2014). The time is right for me, and I feel able to do this because we have an incredible leadership team in place at YouTube."
