Other Competitive Exams
There are many other government sector jobs like banking (IBPS), defence (SSC), teaching (TET) and railways. Having put in so much efforts and rigourous preparation for the UPSC, the other competitive exams could be comparatively easier for you to crack. Also, write exams such as GATE and GMAT that will help you secure a job in various government companies such as IOCL, ONGC, SAIL, etc. In fact, there are other state civil service exams too that could be easier to crack in comparison to UPSC. So give it all a try to find which one suits you better.
Other Professions
Some jobs have a generic eligibility criteria such as any graduation or post graduation. You could also venture into one of such things to explore your interests and excel in it. Some professions that could be targetted without a stringent relevant educational qualification are journalism, fine arts, programme hosting and lower grade administration works. It is better to get into something and figure out your interests than idling around only trying to find something better or suitable. So hit on one of the jobs and then pursue to excel it.
Entrepreneurship

Even though you might not have the desired qualification for a job, it is still possible for you to get qualified with some short term courses. Some companies might not necessarily have certification as one of the eilgibility criteria and yet offer you an opening if you present your skills through the courses you underwent. Short term courses range from weeks to months duration-wise. So, there is still chances for you to get a grip of your career without much time consumption.
Pursue Higher Studies
Not all certificate courses could get you a ticket to your dream job. Some other professions require a full-time degree certificate. First, identify the profession that you want to get into and then go about choosing the right course and college to study. For instance, some courses have the perfect just curriculum packed with field work and other industry exposures such that you could either find yourself a decent job at the end of the course or get placed through campus recruitment.
Get An Internship
Does the company that you sought a job not hiring you because you did not have any background in the relevant field? Confidently approach them to work for free! Do not underestimate the value of an internship as it is one of the most valuable experiences in an aspirant's life. Even if you intern for a month, you get insights about the profession and learn hands-on. Also, it could be a value addition to your resume and nullify the allegation that you do not have any relevant background.
