The fragmentation of educational records across various institutions, from play schools to universities, often leads to duplicate information and confusion, making the system hard to manage for students and educators alike. Addressing this issue, Shri Rajender Sethi, Deputy Director General of NIC, introduces the Personal Education Number (PEN) as a part of the Public Digital Platform for Education. This initiative aims to unify these disparate systems, providing a streamlined, consolidated view of a student's educational journey.

What is Personal Education Number (PEN)?

• Create a BCeID:

Create a basic BCeID (you will need to verify your email).

• Create a GetMyPEN (GMP) Account:

On the same page, create a GetMyPEN (GMP) account to obtain your PEN (a second email verification is required).

• Fill in the GMP Form:

Provide your full names (current and past) and other key demographic information in the GMP form. It may take one working day, after which you should receive an email alert to log back into the GMP account to see your PEN.

• Access the Student Transcript Service:
