Born on March 5, 1959, in Jait village of Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan completed his higher education in Bhopal. He pursued Philosophy as his area of specialization and earned his M.A. degree from Bhopal University. Student Life and Early Leadership

Shivraj Singh Chouhan showed leadership qualities from a young age. During his school days, he served as the Student Union President of Model Higher Secondary School. He later became actively associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student organisation affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). From Education to Public Service

After completing his education, Chouhan entered active politics and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Vidisha for the first time in 1991. He represented the constituency multiple times before becoming the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in 2005. Over the next several years, he became the state's longest-serving Chief Minister, overseeing various welfare, agriculture and infrastructure initiatives.

Following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he was once again elected from Vidisha and was inducted into the Union Cabinet.
