Explore The Syllabus
It is always good to start with assessing the exam syllabus prior to the preparations. SSC has published the detailed syllabus for every subject in the official notification. We suggest candidates to go through the syllabus meticulously.
Gather The Best Study Materials
Once assessing the syllabus is completed, aspirants should start gathering all the study materials including the previous years' question papers. Almost all the major publications who cover the exam are a good choice to study and one has to keep in mind that the preparations should be focused only on the books that have been chosen. It is pertinent to mention that the temptation to refer any new books after a course of time should be kept at bay as they can be confusing.
Prepare A Timetable
Once you gather all the reference books start preparing a study schedule. Aspirants are suggested to use the time equally for preparing each subject. We hope the examination will be conducted in the month of September because the SSC has not yet notified any exam dates.
You should also keep in mind that apart from exam preparation physical fitness needs to be given equal importance.
Never Keep Practising At Bay
Both the general intelligence & reasoning and elementary mathematics sections require a lot of practice. Aspirants should increase their speed along with the accuracy while practicing for the exam. Try to solve as many practice papers as possible, which will make aspirants adapt to these conditions.
Opt For Subject-wise Preparation
Aspirants should understand that each section has to be given equal weightage in the exam. Hence, we suggest that the aspirants opt for the subject-wise preparation. While preparing for the exam, one should also take the mock tests at regular intervals.
