NEET UG Round 2: Final Chance to Fix Registration Details Before 5 PM Deadline
NEET UG Round 2 candidates have a final correction window today. The Medical Counselling Committee’s reset option closes at 5 pm IST on September 7, 2026. Use it for registration fixes, not cosmetic edits. Correct category, NRI option, or document details. Helpline support: 1800 102 7637 and 0120‑4073500.
Who should use reset, and who should avoid it. Use it if your category, NRI or Overseas Citizen of India details, or PwD assessment need correction. MCC reset vs unlock: what actually changes
Reset or unlock registration lets you modify registration data. It does not reopen already locked choices. After locking, edits are not allowed through the portal. Use reset strictly for profile corrections within the announced window. Choice editing happens only during the separate locking timeline.
How to request reset, OTP, re‑registration and fee
Log in and select the reset or unlock registration option on your dashboard. Confirm the request, then complete re‑registration with one‑time password verification. Re‑upload required documents, review category or NRI selections, and make payment if prompted. Finally, re‑fill choices and lock them within server time. Keep fee receipts.
NEET UG Round 2 timeline: choice locking, allotment, reporting
Choice locking opens 4 pm September 8 and continues until 10 am September 9. Allotment processing runs September 9 to 10. Results release on September 11. Reporting and joining run September 12 to 18, with the last date of joining on September 18, 2026. Plan travel and documents early.
Newly added seats and vacancy lists to scan before locking
MCC has posted newly added seats, clear vacancy, and virtual vacancy files for Round 2. These lists indicate fresh capacity and unfilled seats from Round 1. Review them before you rank colleges. It can change closing ranks and strategy, especially for BSc Nursing and new medical colleges.
Missed 5 pm? What happens next in Round 3 and stray
If you miss the 5 pm reset today, continue Round 2 without profile edits. Watch MCC’s schedule page for Round 3 instructions after Round 2 reporting. A national stray vacancy round follows later in September. Track official notices daily to avoid missing fresh seats or deadlines.
