Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) Admission Process And Programmes

The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set up an Artificial Intelligence (AI) university, which is believed to be the first in the world. The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) was inaugurated in Abu Dhabi and offers a range of programmes related to Artificial Intelligence for undergraduate students.

Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State, has been appointed Chair of the MBZUAI Board of Trustees. The sources suggest that faculty and students will be able to access the world's most advanced AI system in the institute. MBZUAI has partnered with the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IIAI) for the supervision of PhD students and curriculum development.

The University has also started accepting the applications for its first masters and PhD programmes. MBZUAI will welcome the first class of graduate students at MBZUAI's Masdar City campus in September 2020. All admitted candidates will be provided with a full scholarship, including 100% tuition fees along with additional benefits such as accommodation, health insurance and monthly allowance.

MSc Programs Admission Requirement

Bachelor of Science or equivalent from an accredited university or college recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
A candidate should be amongst the top 20% of the class. A minimum GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale), or equivalent.
TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 90, with 20 or above in each element, taken in one sitting, or IELTS (Academic): Minimum grade of 6.5, with 6.0 or above in each element, taken in one sitting.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General score would be considered in the evaluation of the applicants. (optional)

Foreign Nationals Eligibility

MBZUAI accepts applicants from all nationalities. Candidates who hold an MSc degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and Mathematics are eligible. The work experience is not required.
