The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is one amongst the reputed examination boards in the country. It was constituted by the Government of West Bengal in 1962 and vested with the authority to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various courses that include medical, engineering and technological in the institutes spread across the West Bengal State.

The WBJEEB awarded the status of the statutory body and empowered to conduct the entrance examination for admission to undergraduate professional and vocational courses in the State. When the examination bells are ringing for the forthcoming academic session, candidates specifically from Class 12 students should know what are examinations conducted by the WBJEEB.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE)

Every year, the WBJEE is conducted by the Board for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of chemistry/biotechnology/biology/computer science/computer application/technical vocational subject as a compulsory subject are eligible to appear for the examination.

The Board conduct the JENPAUH in the month of June for admission to following courses in the institutes spread across the State.

EVETS

This entrance examination is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) in the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science under the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences.

Candidates must pass higher secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent in science stream from any recognised Board/Council to apply EVETS.

The Board conduct the JEEDEC for admission into five years evening courses for Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering in Jadavpur University.

Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET)

This common entrance examination is conducted for admission to various Under Graduate courses in the three-year B.A./B.Sc. (Honours) courses in the Presidency University. Candidates need to submit online application only for taking the entrance examination.

Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET)

The WBJEEB conduct the PUMDET for admission to various Post Graduate courses in the Presidency University. The online applications received through the official portal are only accepted.
