The candidates who have applied for the Civil Services need to motivate themselves indeed, as it would be a difficult task to carry forward the energy till the final round.
As the year-long selection process for the examination will begin with the Preliminary exam in June, aspirants have to increase their study hours in the final months. You might be busy at this moment with the last leg of preparation, but spare a couple of minutes with us to increase your confidence which will definitely make you stand out in the cut-throat competition.
Frame Possible Questions
Enough! So far, you would've studied a lot and this last two months should be focused only on the revision and perfecting in the concepts. Never think about what more you can learn to increase your strength in the completed concepts. Make yourself strong and think how the questions are going to be asked from a particular topic.
Revise, Revise & Revise...
The revision part is very crucial for an aspirant. If you are one among the aspirants who've prepared your own notes since the day one of preparation, take them out highlight all the important points. Theses highlighted points will be very useful in your last-week preparation.
Do Not Devote Time To CSAT
Most of the Civil Services aspirants are familiar that the CSAT is just a qualifying paper in the Preliminary and marks scored here will not be considered for shortlisting. Devoting more time to this paper especially in the last days will just eat your time which is not even useful in the Main Examinations also. However, neglecting the CSAT paper fully also costs you more.
Compile Current Events
We guess, you might have started compiling all the current events happening in the country and world as well. During the last months, you need to master them because more than half of the paper is related to the daily developments. In fact, you should be in a position to relate all the events. This will even help you in the Main examination, which are going to kick-start in the month of September.
Ensure Good Health
Aspirants put their heart and soul in preparation and end up with doing some foolish things in the last months such as not having proper diet and sufficient sleep. The Civil Services is such an exam that your analysing skills also play a key role besides conceptual knowledge. Keep your body and mind cool all the time and try to avoid the junk food at least for these two months.
Never look at the Civil Services as a career with a lucrative pay. This will just lower your aspirations. This is either a profession nor a career. Assume that you are just a part of nation-building for the future. Keep your goodwork going!
