Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the 2018 notification for clerical cadre. The notification has been released for a total of 7275 vacancies spread across 19 public sector banks. Interested candidates can start applying for the IBPS PO exam from September 18, 2018.

 

IBPS clerk is the most awaited recruitment notification. With over 15 lakh candidates expected to register for the IBPS clerk 2018, one should know everything meticulously to ace this exam. IBPS clerk online examination consists of two exams namely the preliminary and mains which are scheduled to take place in the month of December and January, respectively. Candidates might be familiar with the IBPS clerk exam pattern for both preliminary and main. They should also know how the final merit listing is prepared. The marks obtained in the online main examination will be considered for final merit listing. The total marks allotted for the online main examination is 200, however, they are converted to 100 for provisional allotment.

The Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel for clerical cadre posts will be based on the online examination (preliminary and main). Candidates have to qualify in the preliminary examination which consists of 100 questions. Those who clear the preliminary exams are only shortlisted for taking the main examination. The pre-examination training will be arranged by the nodal banks/ participating organisations to a limited number of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ minority communities/ ex-servicemen/ persons with disabilities. All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail the pre-examination training should fill in the relevant column in the online application.
