ITM Business School, Kharghar conducted a workshop by LinkedIn Manager Mr.Tariq Ahmad. One of a kind workshop dealt with 'How to use LinkedIn as a Networking Tool', wherein Mr.Tariq Ahmad discussed and shared crucial pointers.
The workshop was attended by more than 100 students from various specialisations- Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, IT. Along with the students, the workshop was also attended by the professors and admin office staff.
In a very engaging and informative seminar held at ITM Kharghar, Mr. Tariq Ahmad, Regional Sales manager at LinkedIn, demonstrated the step by step guide to 'Invest your Time' on the professional social media platform ,i.e., LinkedIn. He shared five-step mantras to make oneself a desirable candidate for the recruiters.

The five step mantra essentially was a value addition for everyone present at the workshop. Mr.Tariq, gave treasured insights from building a profile on LinkedIn to networking to standing out in the ocean of promising candidates with tools on LinkedIn.
The presentation was followed by a brief interactive sessions with the students on the various Tips and Tricks of using LinkedIn. He closed the session on a very encouraging note, inviting every student and faculty to come and connect with him on LinkedIn.
While commenting on the topic, Mr. Tariq Ahmad said, we live in a very crowded era. Whatever you are good at someone turn out to be better. So how do you make yourself stand out amongst the rest? How can you be the needle in a haystack but still be the most prominent?
While expressing their excitement, students said, "As a student who is just about to complete my course, the transition from student life to professional life is difficult. What is more difficult is the entry barrier into the corporate world. Opportunities are everywhere, but to identify them and make the most of that one shot that you get is of prime importance. To succeed, along with talent you need connections, and for connections, you need a platform and today that platform is LinkedIn and the seminar on it will definitely go a long way."
He closed the session on a very encouraging note, inviting every student and faculty to come and connect with him on LinkedIn.
