G20 Summit 2023: G20 Becomes G21, African Union Becomes New Member
Many international leaders and business titans have arrived at the G20 conference, which is being held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, the capital of India. First, PM Modi revealed that the African Union, which is made up of 55 nations, will join the G20 at the conference's opening remarks. G-20 has become G21 as a result of PM Modi's announcement.
India proposed that the African Union be granted permanent membership in the G20 in conformity with the beliefs of Sabka Saath. PM Modi said "I believe we all agree on this proposal. Before starting my work, I invite the AU Chair to assume his position as a permanent member."

"I am honored to welcome the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 family," Prime Minister Modi stated. The G20 will be strengthened as a result, as will the voice of the Global South.
Speaking to the summit, the PM noted that लोकश:हित मुखेति, अथ: इयं नातेशु हेवं, which is engraved on a pillar about 2.5 thousand years old and located a few kilometers away, indicates the interest of humanity in Prakrit, where welfare is also guaranteed. Two and a half thousand years ago, this message was sent from India to the entire world. The globe is moving on a new path at this point in the twenty-first century. Now is the time when we must come up with fresh answers to problems that have existed forever.
Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas, Sabka Prayaas:
The dearth of trust in the globe after COVID-19 has caused a serious crisis. The disparity in trust has grown due to the war. When we are able to beat COVID-19, we will also be able to defeat the mutual mistrust issue that has occurred. Together, let's reduce the world's trust deficit and increase confidence. Everyone needs to go forward at once at this point. All of us can benefit from the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas, and Sabka Prayaas.
