Naidu's early schooling took place in the local government primary school in his village. Like many children from rural India during that time, he walked several kilometers each day to attend classes. After completing his primary and middle school education, Naidu moved to Tirupati, a town that would later become central to both his educational and political careers. He continued his academic path with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same college. At the age of 28, Naidu made a life-altering decision. He left his postgraduate studies midway to enter active politics. In 1978, he contested as a Congress (I) candidate and won from the Chandragiri constituency. Although Naidu did not complete his postgraduate degree, his academic background in economics played a vital role in his approach to governance. During his tenure as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh (1995-2004), and later post-bifurcation (2014-2019), his policies were marked by an understanding of macroeconomic dynamics, urban planning, and digital transformation.
