National Constitution Day is a day of honour for every Indian because it commemorates the adoption of our constitution. After India gained independence from British rule in August 1947, there was a strong desire to develop and integrate our own constitution. The Constituent Assembly of India established a creating Committee, which was tasked with creating the country's constitution. The drafting committee was chaired by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
