APAAR ID Card: Full Form, Registration, Benefits

APAAR ID Full Form

The 'Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry' is the full name of the APAAR ID. In order to issue the APAAR ID cards, the Indian government established the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank). This card acts as a "EduLocker," a register for the education environment.

What is an APAAR ID For Students?

The Ministry of Education has introduced the APAAR ID card, a digital ID card for students enrolled in public and private institutions or universities throughout India. With the APAAR ID card, students will be able to access their academic records, diplomas, and other data online.

The APAAR ID card is a permanent ID number that tracks students' academic progress and accomplishments and facilitates transition between schools. Every student enrolled, from pre-primary to higher education, will receive this card from the schools and colleges. In addition to the pupils' current Aadhaar ID, the APAAR card will be issued.

After registering for an APAAR card, students can download their card. The 12-digit APAAR number, a special identifying number that students must use to access all benefits and conveniently save academic data, will be found on the APAAR card.

The children's Aadhaar numbers will also be connected to the One Nation One Student ID Card. An organised and accessible academic experience for students is made possible by the APAAR ID.

APAAR ID Registration Online

Students must have a current Aadhaar card in order to register for an APAAR ID. Additionally, they must register for a DigiLocker account, which will be utilised for e-KYC. Only with the parent's approval may schools and institutions begin the registration process for APAAR ID cards for their pupils. Additionally, parents have the right to revoke their consent at any moment. Parents should fill up and submit a format form that schools and universities should provide for the kids. The schools will make the APAAR ID card following the receipt of the parent's approval.

The steps for registering for an APAAR ID online are as follows

Visit the webpage of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank).

Select the 'Student' option under 'My Account' after clicking.

To create a DigiLocker account, click "Sign up" and input your phone number, address, and Aadhaar card information.

Make use of the credentials to access your DigiLocker account.

Your permission will be requested by DigiLocker before disclosing your Aadhaar card information to ABC for KYC verification. 'I agree' should be chosen.

Enter the academic information, including the name of the class or university, the school, and the course.

The APAAR ID card will be generated after the form has been submitted.

Benefits of APAAR ID card

The APAAR ID card gives students a permanent identifying number that enables them to track their academic development and accomplishments with ease.

The APAAR ID card will centralise the digital storage of student information, including learning outcomes, exam results, report cards, health records, and extracurricular accomplishments like Olympiad rankings, specialised skill training, etc.

The APAAR number will allow students of all ages to track their academic progress, including in high school, junior college, and after graduation.

Since it will have all of the student's academic information, it will make the transfer process from one institution to another simple. As a result, applying for admission to a new college in any area of the nation will be simple.

It is beneficial to maintain track of pupils who leave school so that the government can work to reintegrate them into society and reacquaint them with academic pursuits.

Academic information, such as scholarships, diplomas, awards, and other student credits, will be digitally centralised.

The ABC Bank will be immediately connected to the APAAR ID. As a result, when a student completes a semester or course, the credits are immediately recorded in the ABC, which is accepted by all Indian colleges.

Students can use the credit score they receive through their APAAR IDs for university entrance examinations or further education.

The APAAR card contains all the data necessary to identify a student. It includes details on the student's name, residence, date of birth, gender, picture, sports participation, educational loans, scholarships, and other honours, among other things.

The APAAR ID will be used to create a DigiLocker account for the student.

Through APAAR ID cards, the students can immediately get government benefits under government schemes.

The Ministry of Education will keep all the data on the APAAR card secure, and there is very little chance that it will be used improperly. This data will only be used for instructional purposes.
