IIT Kanpur has kickstarted the GATE 2023 registration from today, August 30, 2022. So all the interested candidates are urged to visit the official website at gate.iitk.ac.in to fill out the GATE 2023 application form.
It is the turn of IIT Kanpur this year to hold the GATE 2023 Exam. For those who aren't aware, IISc Bangalore along with the seven older IITs take turns to conduct GATE Exams.

How to fill GATE application from 2023?
- Click on the link gate.iitk.ac.in OR paste it into a browser and hit "enter"
- There is a login button on the homepage with text reading GATE Online Application right above. Click on it.
- Login and fill it with the details asked. It requires your educational qualification, communication information and other details.
- Upload scanned images of photograph and signature as per the specifications.
- Pay the application fee in online mode.
- Preview and submit the GATE 2023 application form. You can take a print-out for future reference.

- Rs 850: for females and reserved category candidates.
- Rs 1700: All other candidates including foreign nationals
- Applicants will be issued the hall ticket after they have completed the registration process.

Who can apply for the GATE 2023 Exam?
- A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.
- A candidate who has already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE exam.
GATE 2023 Paper Pattern
- Candidates have to register for one or up to two of the 29 papers offered by GATE 2023. However, a candidate can only select the second paper from the list of predefined 'Two Paper Combinations' available on the GATE 2023 website.
- The GATE 2023 paper is for a total of 100 marks, with 15-mark General Aptitude (GA) paper common to all candidates; while the remaining 85 marks are covered by the specific subject selected by the applicant.
