Apply for Odisha OSSTET Exam 2022: How to Apply, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Benefits and More
The Board Of Secondary Education Odisha, BSEO has opened the Application Window for the OSSTET Exam 2022 on the official website. As per the notification interested candidates can apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test 2022 by visiting the official website at www.bseodisha.ac.in
from 14 November to 23 November 2022. obvious by the name of the exam itself, OSSTET is conducted every year to shortlist eligible teachers to teach in schools of Odisha at the secondary level. To get a job as a secondary teacher in Odisha (in both government and private schools), one has to pass this exam.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility varies according to the subject you have applied against.
Generally speaking, Applicants have to be a Graduate with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category candidates) + a one-year BEd or equivalent qualification.

Application Fee
For General & SEBC Applicants: Rs. 600/-
For ST & SC Applicants: Rs.400/-
Exam Pattern of OSSTET 2022
Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test, OSSTET is held across 2 categories
Category I & Category II
Category I is to shortlist TGT teachers in streams such as Science, Humanities and various Languages
Category II is to shortlist Physical Education Teachers.
Paper-I is taken by Category 1 candidates whereas Paper-II is answered by Category 2 candidates.
Exam Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Types of Questions: Objective-type MCQs of 1 mark each. Examinees get 1 mark for the right answer. Since there is no negative marking, you must try to attempt as many questions as you can in the given time frame.
Minimum Qualifying Marks (for each paper)
45%: For General Candidates
35%: For SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates
What is the benefit of Passing the OSSTET Exam
Successful candidates shall be awarded OSSTET Pass Certificate by the BSE Odisha. It shall remain valid till the age the candidate is eligible to apply for a teacher vacancy in the state.
What if I don't clear the exam
Well, you can keep trying till you do. After all, there is no restriction on the number of attempts.
How to Apply for the OSSTET 2022 Exam
There are 2 steps to complete the application process: 1. Registration and 2. Filling out the FormRegistration
Click on the official website link: www.bseodisha.ac.in
You see two tabs on the homepage: "Log in to your account" & "Click Here for New Registration"
Those already registered click on the "Log in" button and submit the Registered Phone Number and Password to log in
New Users must Register first by clicking on the "Click Here for New Registration" button
How to Register
Enter your Name, Password (to be created by you). Re-type the password, submit your Mobile Number, e-Mail ID & caste category and then "Submit"
You will be redirected to the "Login" button now.
Please read the instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before applying. The fee once submitted will not be refunded.
Application Process
Log in using your Phone Number and Password
Now you get directed to the payment window. Submit the Application Fee through an online mode of your choice.
Now you come to the Application Form. Fill out the details as demanded, upload the required certificates/ documents/ photos, accept the declaration form at last and submit.
Download and take a printout of the "Acknowledgement Receipt." You will need it for future requirements.
