Assam SLET Exam 2023 Schedule Out: How to Apply, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, and More

SLET Commission Assam has released the Application Form for SLET Exam 2023 on its official website at www.sletneonline.co.in. Interested and eligible candidates can go to the official website to apply for this exam from 15 November 2022 to 7 January 2023. The last date to submit the fee through bank challan is 13th January 2023.

March 2023 (Sunday) in all the University Centres of North-Eastern States. SLET is a state-level exam conducted every year to shortlist candidates to teach as assistant professors across universities in North Eastern states. There are 25 subjects or disciplines the exam is held for. They are as follows:

Age Limit And Number Of Chances

There is no age limit for SLET Exams

A candidate can avail of any number of chances

Eligibility Criteria

You have to secure a minimum of 55% marks (for General category applicants), OR 50% marks (for SC/ST/PwD/OBC applicants), in Master's Degree or equivalent exam from a recognized university.

SLET 2023 Exam Pattern

The Assam SLET Exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II

Paper 1: 50 objective-type questions of 2 marks each (total marks: 100), Duration: 1 Hour

Paper 2: 100 objective-type questions of 2 marks each (total marks: 200), Duration: 2 Hours

For each correct answer, 2 marks are rewarded. However, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. So it's advisable to attempt as many questions as possible to score maximum.

The objective-type questions will be in the following forms: Multiple Choice, Matching, Assertion and Reasoning, and True and False

Minimum Qualifying Marks for SLET Exams

For General/EWS Applicants: At least 40% aggregate marks (120 marks out of the total combined marks of 300)

For SC/ST/OBC/PwD Applicants: At least 35% aggregate marks (105 marks out of the total combined marks of 300)

As per the UGC policy, 6% of the appearing candidates have to be declared qualified as Assistant Professors.

You can get the test centre changed after writing an application to SLET Commission and paying a fee of Rs. 300/-. Just make sure you do it at least a couple of weeks before the exam.

Read the instruction carefully before proceeding to fill out the form.

Now scroll down to the bottom of the homepage. You will find the 'Apply Now' link here. Click on it.

Fill out the Application Form with all the details and upload all the documents as instructed
Pay the Application Fee and download the Payment Acknowledgement Slip.

Once submitted, the portal will generate a unique Application ID. Make sure to note it down. You will need this for all future correspondence including Admit Card Download.
